Food is off the charts good. Everything is fresh and you can count on consistency with the food quality. I pick up my lunch here at least 3 days per week. Love the place.. love the food and love the people.
Great Italian food!! Hot or cold, take-out dinners, sandwiches, grinders, all types of salads & etc. They also offer catering for your special event. Their eggplant parm dinner is awesome, along with their homemade meat lasagna dinner & the sauce is fabulous; our family loves Mattei's. It's the Go-To stop for a great dinner to take home & enjoy. Truly BEST ever eggplant! I just took two full sized trays back with us to Cape Cod. One for us and one for a friend who used to live in CT! All we've had there is great but the eggplant is heavenly. Happy the orig owners are back. Staff so friendly, efficient and accomodating! Thank you

I absolutely love this place. I pretty much go every day that they're open during the week. Everything I get there is very good. I'm not a veggie guy and I love the eggplant; it's really good. I even take food home for dinners. I can't say enough good things about Mattei's Deli. Great food and everyone there is so nice.

Best deli around. The steak sandwich ( sliced steak, lettuce, tom, caramelized onion, I recommend the grinder roll) is the best I've had. Note: not a steak & cheese but a steak sandwich that is amazing. You really can't go wrong with anything you order here, chicken cutlets, eggplant parm, potato salad, pasta salad, pre packed meals to take home, soup, specials everyday. Try it out and you will see.
Mattei’s is a Derby staple. Small and unassuming from the outside, it can easily be missed when driving by. Hands down, one of the best meatball subs I’ve ever had. My husband talks about their chicken parm at least once a month. Give it a shot, you will not be disappointed.
